Nuvoton Technology as a leading company of Speech and Melody IC provider dedicates on developing innovative and full-scaled solutions to worldwide well-known toy companies. With built-in memory, PowerSpeech™ family provides users a space to store 3~400 seconds voice data that through 1-channel, 2-channels and 3-channels, users can have a variety options of output sound.  Users can have a better satisfaction of output sound quality by choosing BandDirector™ series that it provides the tone combination of different length voice data (10~380sec) with 4-channels, 6-channels, 8-channels to 16-channels.  Furthermore, the ViewTalk™ family integrates the speech and LCD driver into one chip: the LCD display quality is from 320 dots B/W to 2000 dots 4- Gray level, the built-in voice memory is up to 300 sec., and its synchronous output 2-channels/8-channels provides a high quality Wavetable melody that greatly contents users’ high quality demands.

Besides, users can easily integrate other Nuvoton ICs, such as A/D converter, I/O Expander, SPI Mask ROM, USB Controller, MFID and RF Transceiver to get a total solution to satisfy different needs.

This year, Nuvoton Viewtalk™ family shall present its whole new W539A/T series which built-in the high quality Wavetable melody, voice and 4- Gray level LCD driver.  With the built-in 1K/2K dots, 4-level gray LCD driver and 8-channels Wavetable melody, W539A/T series greatly satisfy customers’ request with the high-resolution screen quality on portable game consoles and high-quality educational music toys.  W539A/T series is the best solution for educational and portable toy consoles.

The new W539A/T series are equipped with an 8bit micro-controller, in which the process speed can reach to 8MHz, and also it covers 1Mbit to 8Mbit memory capacity further to provide approximately 300 seconds audio outputs.  Owing to devices’ unique structure, W539A/T series IC not only has audio and melody remix sound effect but its output also has an excellent sound quality and similitude.  It can do various dynamic changes among tone, pitch, speed, volume etc..  The built-in LCD stabilization route offers a stable and clear LCD contrast quality when audio and wave-table melody are play synchronously.  Besides, the newly added LCD key scan share function provides 16x8 (128 key pads) that greatly satisfies the needs of educational toy which requires multiple buttons.

The devices also equipped with Serial Interface Management (SIM) and SPI interface that users can easily integrate with Nuvoton’s Serial Mask ROM (W551Cxxx) and/or SPI Flash/Mask ROM products to store voice, melody and LCD data as well as the programs in external memory.  It provides a flexible usage for cartridge applications or for content expansion with a lower BOM cost.  In addition, the Watch Dog Timer (WDT) and Low Voltage Detection (LVD) features greatly rise up the devices’ stability both on production and applications.
