The KA84917UA is a pack monitoring IC that measures the charging and discharging current flowing through the battery pack by sensing the voltage drop over a shunt resistor. The KA84917UA includes redundant measurement system that enable customers to design battery systems compliant with ISO26262 ASIL-D requirements. The KA84917UA improves the BMS' calculation accuracy of battery power and internal impedance and enables it accurately to estimate the battery’s State of Charge (SOC) and the State of Health (SOH) by connecting with the battery monitoring IC in a daisy chain.
