KA44171A is Pre Driver IC for single phase Brushless Motor. DC or PWM signal can be applied for motor speed control input. PWM soft switching function and motor current phase setting enables motor current direction to switch smoothly, achieve high efficiency and silent driving. Wide supply voltage range allows use of various external power MOSFET. motors using 12V, 24V and 48V power supply can be driven with this IC. KA44171A is equipped with APRaS (Advanced Phase and Rapid Soft switching) to optimize high speed motor performance. With a wide input voltage range of 12V, 24V and 48V, this IC is most suitable for usage in data server, base station, home appliances, office automation and factory automation (for high speed fan motor < 100krpm) equipment.

KE-KA44171A - KA44171A  single-phase PWM/VSP motor driver evaluation board

The KE-KA44171A is an evaluation board (EVB) equipped with pre-driver KA44171A, external MOSFET drivers, and variable resistors that control motor drive waveform and current phase. It enables to drive a single-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor by providing 8A Peak current in 12V/24V DC rails or battery powered applications.

The EVB enables to verify the function of our original technology Advanced Phase & Rapid Softswitching (APRaS) installed on KA44171A.
