This reference design is based on the NuMaker-IOT-M487 board with an IMU (inertial measurement unit) algorithm, which can be used to measure the angular velocity and acceleration of an object and obtain the attitude of the object.

This IMU algorithm is a gyro navigation system developed by UNITEC based on NuMaker-IoT-M487. It is suitable for flat navigation. Users can obtain heading angle by calling API in the IMU algorithm.

This solution had passed the test. The NuMaker-IMU-M487 is placed on the cover of the robot vacuum. The test site is kept level and greater than 6 square meters. After the robot vacuum is started for cleaning at least 30 minutes, the attitude of this solution is under an error of 10 degrees per hour.

Combined with the NAU88L25 audio codec, the development board provides high-quality recording and playback. The external SPI Flash and microSD card socket provide additional data storage.
