Nuvoton Technology Corporation (TSEC:4919, herein “Nuvoton”) announced today that the acquisition of semiconductor business of Panasonic mainly operated by Panasonic Semiconductor Solutions., Co. Ltd. (herein “PSCS”) has been completed today. This transaction is inclusive of 100% shares of PSCS, equipment and inventories of Panasonic Semiconductor (Suzhou) Co., Ltd, and assets, liabilities and contracts related to predefined specific business of Panasonic Industrial Devices Semiconductor Asia. Following the completion of the Transfer, PSCS will be renamed as Nuvoton Technology Corporation Japan. By means of this acquisition, Nuvoton not only obtains PSCS’ R&D manpower, “Sensing” technologies, “Microcontroller” technologies and ”Component” technologies, but also acquires the lands in Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture and other four locations. Due to personal career planning, Mr. Sean Tai will resign President of the company on November 15, 2021. Mr. Su holds a master degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California. Currently, he is Chairman/CEO of Nuvoton. He joined Winbond in 1990, had sequentially served as the Vice President of the business group and sales center. He has over 30 years of technical and management experience in the professional field. In this regard, there are no significant impacts on the company’s financial and operational performance due to this change.
