(TWSE: 4919) Today (26), with the parent company, Winbond Electronics Corp.(TWSE: 2344), held a joint Investor Conference to report the first quarter operation result and forecast economic condition of the second quarter of 2013. The consolidated revenue of the first quarter of 2013 was approximately NT$1,639 million, an increase of 2% from the previous quarter. The net income was NT$ 66 million with EPS NT$ 0.32 , an increase of 60% from the previous quarter. According to Nuvoton Technology, although the performance of PC industry was under expectation in the first quarter of 2013, the growing shipment of 32-bit MCU and the consumer IC industry step into the peak season, the revenues of the first quarter of 2013 grew over the previous quarter and remained equivalent compared to the first quarter of 2012. Also, the gross margin upgraded compared to the previous quarter and the same period last year.

(TWSE: 4919) Today (2), with the parent company, Winbond Electronics Corp.(TWSE: 2344), held a joint Investor Conference to report the second quarter operation result and forecast economic condition of the third quarter of 2013. The consolidated revenue of the second quarter of 2013 was approximately NT$1,901 million, an increase of 16% from the previous quarter. The net income was NT$ 115 million, an increase of 75% compared with the first quarter of 2013. The first half of 2013 EPS was NT$ 0.87. According to Nuvoton Technology, since 32-bit microcontroller applications continued to grow, and the second quarter was the traditional peak season for consumer IC industry and foundry, which led the first-quarter revenue growth over the previous quarter; meanwhile, as rising capacity utilization and product portfolio optimization, the gross margin of second quarter 2013 pushed up 1.5%.

The consolidated revenue for the second quarter of 2011 are approximately NT$2,190 million, up 30% quarter-over-quarter; net income are NT$209 million, up 244% quarter-over-quarter, with EPS of NT$1.01. The company said the sales of general IC products grew approximately 27.9% quarterly. In addition to the fact that IC industry gradually stepped into the traditional peak season in the second quarter, the smooth shipment volume of new products, such as Nuvoton ARM® Cortex™-M0 32-bit microcontroller, embedded input-output controller (Embedded SIO) and IC for educational learning machine (ELA, Education Learning Aid) also had a significant contribution to revenue. As for the foundry business, the sales revenue grew approximately 40% quarter-over-quarter.

(TWSE: 4919) today (6), with the parent company, Winbond Electronics Corp.(TWSE: 2344), held a joint Investor Conference to report the fourth quarter operation result and forecast the first quarter of 2013.The consolidated revenue for 2012 is approximately NT$7,413 million, net income of NT$ 628 million, EPS of NT$ 3.02, an increase of 47% compared last year. The consolidated revenue for the fourth quarter of 2012 is NT$1,602 million, 83% from general IC and 17% from foundry service.
