NPCT6XX

Hsinchu, Taiwan – 2016/06/07 –
Nuvoton Technology Corporation announced its NPCT6xx Trusted Platform Module (TPM) family, implementing the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) version 2.0 specifications for PC-Client TPM. The  NPCT6xx family is the first TPM2.0 device to achieve FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) 140-2 certification (FIPS 140-2 level 2). Combined with Common Criteria (CC) with assurance level EAL 4 augmented, the NPCT6xx product family provides the highest available TPM2.0 hardware security.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) technology is designed to provide hardware-based security-related functions. A TPM chip is a highly secured crypto-processor that enables protection of sensitive data such as keys, passwords and digital certificates, and provides trustworthy reports of system integrity and states.

Nuvoton has been a member of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) since its early days in the year 2000. Having supplied hardware TPM products and related solutions for more than 15 years, Nuvoton is an established, leading supplier of security devices and solutions. Nuvoton’s TPM products are used across a wide spectrum of system applications ranging from personal computers through servers and workstations to secure office automation systems.

“We are proud to deliver the first ever FIPS-certified TPM2.0 device.” said Erez Naory, Vice President of Client IC Products, Nuvoton Israel. “Nuvoton continues to lead the TPM ecosystem by providing cost-effective solutions that meet all customer needs”.

The NPCT6xx family supports LPC, SPI and I²C host interfaces, and features a high-performance 32-bit processor, a crypto-engine, large NV storage, secured GPIOs, pre-installed keys and key certificates and Field Upgrade capability. The NPCT6xx family, including both TPM1.2 and TPM2.0, is now in volume production and is deployed by major PC OEM companies.
