Nuvoton Technology Holds Investor Conference for the fourth quarter of 2015.

Nuvoton Technology Corporation (TSE: 4919) and its parent company, Winbond Electronics Corporation (TSE: 2344), held a joint investor conference today (29) to announce operating results for the fourth quarter of 2015 and future prospects. The consolidated operating revenue in the fourth quarter of 2015 was about NT$ 1.77 billion, and net income in the fourth quarter was NT$ 65 million with earnings per share of NT$ 0.31, an increase of 112% compared to same period in 2014. For 2015, full year consolidated operating revenue was NT$ 7.313 billion, net income totaling around NT$ 469 million and earnings per share of NT$ 2.26, an increase of 37% compared to 2014.

Nuvoton indicated that significant growth in revenue and profit in 2015 compared to 2014 was mainly attributed to the increasing needs of microcontrollers in general purpose market, industrial and new emerging applications.

Nuvoton's new products have achieved good results in the target fields in 2015, including the shipment of ARM® Cortex® - M0 and M4 MCU for emerging applications and general purpose market; and the incremental sales of ARM® 9 Video SoC for flying cameras and video baby monitors. In addition, Nuvoton achieved design win of ultra-low power audio CODEC for IP Cameras and PCs and taped out new ARM® Cortex® - M0 Audio SoC for cost effective smart toys solutions. Nuvoton has started mass production of ARM® Cortex® - M4 Based SIO (Super I/O)/EC (Embedded controller, TPM (Trusted Platform Module) and Power IC for Intel® Skylake Platform. In 2015, Nuvoton advanced the industry and became the world’s first TPM IC provider received FIPS certification, Common Criteria EAL4+ and TCG (Trusted Computing Group) certification. This also proved that the quality and reliability of Nuvoton security products are internationally recognized. For foundry service, 0.35um 40V BCD Process for Power IC has started mass production.

In 2016, Nuvoton is committed to promoting ARM® Cortex® - M MCU for new emerging applications and general purpose market. Additionally, Nuvoton will release Audio CODEC for PC Stick, Chromebook and IP Cameras; TPM 2.0 IC for Desktop, NB and Server; and new computer ICs for Intel® Purley Server Platform and Gaming PCs. For foundry service, Nuvoton provides new processes including 0.35um 120V and 600V HVIC processes for motor drivers and 0.35um 60V and 80V BCD processes for power IC.
