Hsinchu, Taiwan – 2016/3/30 – Nuvoton Technology Corp., a leading microcontroller manufacturer, announced a new generation of high-efficiency 1T 8051 product line with the launch of N76E616AL48 . With the high noise immunity (4KV EFT / 8KV HBM ESD), wide operating voltage (2.4V~5.5V ) and operating temperature (-40℃ - 105℃), the N76E616AL48 also integrates a LCD driver module, which reduces costs on extra components as well as the printed circuit board (PCB) size. The high-performance computing of N76E616AL48 can achieve complicated manipulation within short time, enhance the system performance, and reduce power consumption. Its on-chip ICE is convenient for users in verification during development stage. All components of the N76E616AL48 are merged into a small size, high-density package, which can be widely used in consumer and electrical fields, making it especially suitable for small appliances with LCD screens, such as the rice cooker, water heater and air purifier.

The N76E616AL48 is equipped with built-in 18 KB Flash memory, multiple interfaces including two sets of UART and one I²C interface, 4 PWM outputs, and LCD driver with 4 COM x 32 SEG or 6 COM x 30 SEG configuration. The LCD pin can be shared as GPIO pin. Up to 46 GPIO pins are provided in the LQPF48 package.

The N76E616AL48 offers adjustable VLCD from 4.5V to 5V, and configurable 4 COM x 32 SEG or 6 COM x 30 SEG to allow more flexibility in designs and high LCD resolution. Moreover, the associated adjusted parameters and data can be stored during the manufacturing or production process without any loss due to power off. This can effectively improve production efficiency and product flexibility.

Development Tool Support
Nuvoton provides simple, easy-to-use and full-featured development systems for customers to develop products using N76E616AL48. The latest NT-N76E616 evaluation board is available online now for 100% emulation and on-board debugging. Furthermore, Nuvoton also offers a stand-alone ISP-ICP programmer for N76E616AL48 microcontrollers, allowing for easy maintenance, simple update and on-site trial production.

Packaging and Availability
The N76E616AL48 is now under sampling and volume production, using a 48-pin 7 mm x 7 mm LQFP48 package type.
