Hsinchu, Taiwan – July 31, 2014 – Following the successful experience of NuMicro™ NUC130/140 series CAN bus products, Nuvoton Technology Corporation launched the new generation NuMicro™ NUC230/240 series in 2014. The NUC230/240 series runs up to 72 MHz and features two CANs, USB 2.0 full-speed device, up to six high-speed UARTs, 800 kSPS high conversion 12 bit ADCs and embedded 22.1184MHz ±3% high-precision oscillator working at -40℃ ~ +105℃.

The NUC230/240 series is embedded with two CANs, 800 kSPS high conversion 12 bit ADCs, and embedded 22.1184MHz ±3% high-precision oscillator, which is suitable for industrial control or elevator equipment transportation. Equipped with a variety of communication interfaces, such as up to six high-speed UARTs (up to 1 Mbps), up to four sets of SPIs, up to two sets of I²C devices and USB 2.0 FS device, the NUC230/240 series has been elaborated to meet customer in quick and simple ways to connect to various peripheral equipment and provides users with a cost-effective solution.

The NuTiny-SDK-NUC240, a development kit, supports the NUC230/240 series to work with Keil RVMDK, IAR EWARM evaluation development environment, including project manager, editor, compiler tools and debugger. In addition, Nuvoton also provides the ISP (In System Program), ICP (In Circuit Program) and IAP (In Application Program) function, by either on-line or off-line programming system to update flash memory program.

The NUC230/240 series is now in volume production; it offers the LQFP48 (7mm * 7mm) and LQFP64 (7mm * 7mm) and LQFP100 (14mm * 14mm) package types for various applications.
